We were back on the winning trail, and improving. After some other clans in our division drew, we had a chance at getting into division 3 (whether we wanted to or not was another matter!). We would have to win both our remaining matches.
We started the proceedings with Ballistic, an old favorite of ours ;). We attacked first and the whole map was finished rather quickly, going normal route.
Defence was nice and tidy, generator was well covered. Although they got a person into the sniper nest and got warhead, we weren't too bothered at that stage, there were 10 seconds remaining.
How can you comment on a map that we do the same everytime? :D
auriel got the sacred samsite, tyr0n got the final objective, in around 2 minutes.
Defence was shock horror :: we actually held bunker for more than 1 second!
Defence was 2nd shock horror :: we actually LOST samsite!
There was only 20 seconds to go though, and we won in the end :)
Our frigate attack was slower than usual (ran out of rocket launchers!). Miner got the ripper on, and Death finished in 1:01.
How our defence went, I don't know, but I feel I had something to do with it going horribly wrong. The last I remember was trying to pick up a flak cannon and I couldn't. After walking over it 3 times, my connection failed :D. By the time I came to, we had lost. Oh well, lightning only strikes once (see AS-Siege][ below).
At this point, the server started getting extremely laggy for both teams. However, our Riverbed]|[AL technique had been getting better and better, and we held tunnels for over 2 minutes. We held the whole map for over 5 minutes!
Attacking was no worry for us. We had two members that could slide to the objectives, with over 300 ping and packet loss :D. We won with over 3 minutes to go.
You're expecting a 23 second win right? Wrong :). Our ringer was not on TS, and got in the way of our first launch (not to mention SaHiB not being here). More sliding helped us get the map in 2:17, although from complaints by the enemy :)
BUT, they were redeemed. Boy were they redeemed. On a simple weapon switch, I dropped my shock rifle while guarding launchers and boom, I got disconnected for the SECOND time. And guess what happened? That's right! When I reconnected, we'd lost another map! They launched directly where I was guarding.
The enemy went first, and decided not to launch at the back. They made steady progress throughout, They finished with 3 minutes on the clock.
Put simply, we were faster here, no tricks etc :). 40 seconds to go when we grabbed final.
Rook! We owned this map last time, and were expecting to do it again.
Attack was excellent, darth got the library, rup chains, tyr0n doors, and miner final all in 50 seconds.
Their attack however was equally good, and they got close to the final objective before we held them, darth having 998 ping at the end :D
A rare choice of map, this standard is usually left well alone to the division 5ers. We were easily held here for over 4 minutes while the train was spammed.
They attacked, and there was around 2 minutes left when the access switch went. Clearly, my clan has learned from the last war; if its a spam map, spam! We did it with Bridge last time, we did it with HighSpeed this time. Deffing the final with multiple saves from auriel, Miner and tyr0n, we held our ground and won.
Well, this then :). Perhaps our worst, 2nd worst map. Our launches are improving still, and we got the bridge pretty quickly (auriel). tyr0n got the final objective (losing Miner's objective streak :( ). All this in around 2 minutes.
A surprise for defence; we didn't lose bridge straight away! We held it, until there was 1 minute remaining.

With this map, we'd be 1 match away from division 3. And what a start! Miner got launched straight into the guncavern, to be narrowly beaten by splash rocket damage. Rup got the all important boiler room, and krimzon got the final :D.
Defence was boring and standard, but we made it without boiler going :)
As the sun set on this peaceful town, the 6-shooters had rode out of town, another victory on their backs, the losers sprawled around in the dust. Onwards, they travel on horseback, knowing that next time, they will have reached the next leg of their journey.
